Alexander McQueen | Women's Autumn/Winter 2012 | Runway Show

This Show was amazing! Sarah Burton has truly come into her own at the helm of McQueen. It was all about the future of beauty for me. Modern, Sharp and Feminine but with the sense that it had been touched by an old world artisans hands.
It felt as if the silhouettes and fabrications evolved at a raid pace. Starting with short skirts with an exaggerated collared jackets in nubby jacquards. Then it began to change texture opening up into a laser-cut lace over leather. The nubby texture evolves again growing out into mongolian fur or ostrich feather as she explored various shapes on the theme. Finally exploding into strangely elegant layers of lightness in extreme layers of organza floating across the floor.
Truly Fashion as Art!!!
Until next time wishing you
